How difficult was it the first time you talked to your doctor about ED?

Very. Because then, in my head, I was the only male in my country who had
ED. Everybody else was having frequent and perfect sex leaving them
exhausted when they went off to work in the AM. Or so it sounded from
locker room talk. I didn't even want to tell my doc about it because he
always looked tired, too. ;-)

I am partially joking, of course, but only partially. That feeling of being
negatively unique does prevail with ED. You have to get over it; bite the
bullet, and trust that your doctor will be open to hearing what you have to
say and will try to give you some solutions. At the best, he will try to
find out WHY you have ED, too.

Make a list of all your ED symptoms; make a copy and take them to the
doctor, keeping one to go down the list with him/her.
Get it then lose it quickly?
No nocturnal or waking erections?
Mood swings, lack of energy, depression?
There's a whole laundry list; fill in your own blanks. Surprisingly, this
does get easier to talk about after the first couple of terrible minutes.
That part is in YOUR head, not the doctor's.

I had some trouble talking to my doc about my gyno. I finally decided
that no matter what problem I had, he'd seen it before.

I've never told my doc anything that's seemed to catch him off guard.

I did only twice. Had a doc that'd "seen it all", and that's when I first
started on Androgel, but had never tried Viagra yet.

He had upped the dosage, and my wife and I *always* accompany each other on
Drs. visits so we hear it first hand.

He asked about effects, and I told him, I was able to masturbate
successfully again.

He did a quick glance at the wife who had a "so what" look on her face, did
a quick red flash, and carried on.

Second time with the uro, had a prostate infection and he prescribed an
antibiotic, and told me that it was important to "use the prostate" with a
wink.

On follow up he asked if I had "activated the prostate during the course" I
told him I'd masturbated every day whilst on the antibiotic. It took him a
minute to recover.

Most all the docs in my area are catholic, and I guess their a little
"caught off guard" at times with the "It's mine and I'll use it whenever I
want" slant.
