John, I think the best way to describe it was as 2 phases. I was pretty low
(at that time last test was 199 ng/dl) and I disntinctly recall picking up
the script, coming home, and injecting. Around 1 1/2 hrs later, my wife and
I were sitting having a cocktail, and I looked over at her and said, "wow!".
She looked at me and said, "Hey, your eyes are sparkling again!". I felt
*alive* once more. As I have described it here before, it was as if someone
peeled the film from my soul.

Part 2 was slower, and took about 2-3 months as the receptors came alive
again. I started getting spontaneous erections, good nocturnal wood, started
losing a little weight, shifting other weight, better muscle tone, and much
more alert and cognitive.

No plateaus, as such, but you have to remember, we all have "bad" days. Had
them before I went hypogonadnal, and still have an occasional one where
there is no libido or sexual response. However, I'm in my 50's, have a
high-stress, high-pressure job, and compared to co-workers in the same age
range (and younger), I still do much better than them.

I don't think anyone ever gets a 100% reliable sex-at-the-drop-of-the-hat
life.

It will have been 2 years this july, and I'm happier than a pig in slop.
Still.
