Testosterone Results

| Greetings all!
I posted a month or two ago, and got some good advice. Since then I've been
tackling my problems at a stead rate, and I've had one visit with a
urologist.
The urologist was particularily unhelpful, seemed to thing that since Cialis
seemed to help me, that there wasn't anything else to talk about. I want to
do what I can to understand this however, not just rely on a pill.
I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone would be kind enough to
answer...
My endocrinologist did a testosterone test, it came back 530. Would this be
considered normal in a 46 year old man? If that's even a little on the
light side, I'd like to talk to my primary about it.
I recently took Cialis at maximum dosage. The next day I was jittery, a TAD
nauseous, and had a bad headache, which seemed to get worse during any
arousal or sexual activity. (Back of the head, and hurt more when I shook
my head). Does this sound like a side effecto to you folks?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
I AM tackling the smoking, it's getting in the way of my weight loss too by
limiting my exercise.

It would be considered normal at any age. Don't believe that if you somehow
got it up to 800 (probably impossible anyway without problems) that your
problem would be cured. Those ranges are just a guide as are the thyroid
ranges or for that matter the weight ranges for a certain height. If you're
not having any symptoms the numbers are really not very important since
there is a natural variation between people. There is no correlation between
the numbers and a person's sexual performance unless they are either very
low or very high and you're having some sort of symptoms.

Do you have any medical conditions? How much do you weigh? Take 5mg to start
with. Many people think that if 5mg is good 20mg must be much better but
sometimes the adverse effects cancel out any good effects if the dose is too
high for you. It's sort of like getting an overdose, it may not kill you but
may be very unpleasant.

| I cant help on the Cialis. I have only taken it a few times with no
side effects.
I can't find your original problem so I dont know what it is youre
treating but I'm assuming its ED since you tried Cialis. The T number
looks fine to me. If it were me I would go to your regular Dr for a
physical first. Many things can cause ED, not just low T. It can be
physical or mental. If you find you are basically healthy and not
suffering from something your unaware of then I would try to find an
endocrinologist who will run tests for all the hormones that can cause
ED problems. For example you may have high Estradiol as opposed to low
T. Also, smoking can cause ED problems as blood vessels can become
constricted in the genital area. Did your urologist confirm you do not
have any problems as far as this goes?

Your T levels are not worrisome... but you have to look at more than that...
free T... estrogens... etc.
The "maximum" dose of Cialis you took was what exactly?
Stop making excuses for your bad habits. Quit smoking and lose weight.

Hmm. I'll consider that.

20mg...

Well, THIS is a bit confrontational.
I'm working on this stuff as hard as I can Wanderer. I've dropped 40 lbs, I
work out five times a week for an hour at a time. I almost live on a bowl
of beans a sandwich, and two hard boiled eggs a day... I've been off the
cigarettes for a week, although I DID pick up a pack last night when I was
drinking with some friends, today it's back on the smoking wagon for me.
You don't know me, you don't know how hard I'm working on this stuff, and
the tone here is a bit dismissive of my efforts, and accusatory of me,
rather than being encouraging in any way.
I'm just looking into every avenue I can is all.
But thanks for the advice.

Try the patch, I think it's the best and avoid anything like the nicotine
inhalers or gum because in my opinion they just keep you fixated on oral.
But remember that the patch delivers a lot of nicotine and you'll still have
it in your system so you have to decrease the dose till you're off. Even if
you can never fully quit, it's still better to have a low circulating dose
of nicotine in your system than smoking. IMO the patches are excellent. Put
one on at night before bed and you will sleep better and have no desire to
smoke in the morning. BTW, what disturbs a lot of smoker's sleep is the need
to smoke and they wake up because nicotine from cigarettes is short acting
while the patch keeps a contant level in your blood.

Don't do excessive exercise.
I almost live on a bowl

Eat a normal diet about 1500 a day if you want to lose and remember that it
will take a year to lose 50 lbs. The faster you lose the more likely you
will regain it (and more) I've never been overweight but have observed other
people.
.. I've been off the

By all means lose weight but do it slowly.
