Does Impotence Preclude Masturbation

| Is it likely that a person with erectile dysfunction could be capable
of masturbating two, three, even four times every day? Or is this not
likely?
I know this question has probably been asked many times before, but my
searches have mostly yielded posts about a possible causal
relationship between ED and masturbation (not whether one would
preclude the other).
Thanks for your help!

I tend to believe that in people over 50 this might be true.
However ist not 'masturbation' itself which might favour ED but more the
'absence of sexual intercourse' with a partner.
To have sex there are *two* things which must function :
1) the 'sexual equipment' (penis, nerves, testicles, spine)
2) the 'body fitness' necessary to intercourse. Intercourse is really
comparable to a 'sport action' if you see it from the point of view of
the body movements and duration of the action..
I suspect that the lack of exercise of certain muscles and nerves for a
long time, in people over 50 living alone, might be a direct cause of
many ED cases.
