Author Does Impotence Preclude Masturbation

Is it likely that a person with erectile dysfunction could be capable
of masturbating two, three, even four times every day? Or is this not
likely?

I know this question has probably been asked many times before, but my
searches have mostly yielded posts about a possible causal
relationship between ED and masturbation (not whether one would
preclude the other).

Thanks for your help!

I masturbate now to make sure the tools still work -- to gauge how my
treatment is progressing.

I often masturbate with erections that are not penetration quality.
Often twice a day.

I don't know how likely it is. But I've read other posts here where
people indicate they have erections they can masturbate with, but not
have sex with.

in swann - masturbation would actually help reduce the chance of ED.
why? because you are using the equipment and keeping it in working
condition.

no different that going to a gym and doing a workout. you are
exercising the muscle groups and that keeps that body in good working
order.

the sexual system is no different.

now, if you want to put this to a test. let the equipment just lay
around around not use it - period. and see what happens.

why do you think they say "use it or lose it"

Hi,

As a teen I could masturbate many times a day. Even when I was in my 20's
thru 50's twice a day was possible. Later it was noticeably more difficult
to get the job done when I tried for a second time.

Intercourse frequency also changed with age but it was not seen as ED at
that time. Even though 2 to 3 times a week was still typical in our 50's I
didn't have the interest in masturbating like I did earlier in life.

When ED hit I could still masturbate but didn't last very long leaving the
wife hanging. By waiting longer like doing it weekly we managed to get
success. Then nothing worked to allow me to get there and I hurried trying
to get there in the time I had. Now I felt I really had ED and went to a uro
that gave me a strip of stamps. When they broke during the night, I was told
it was in my head as my body worked great, heaping guilt of a suffering man.
Then in the 80's the uro had nothing else in his tool box to fix me with, so
it was my fault.

Now masturbation is possible by some without having a firm erection. I
imagine some men feel guilty if they are able to ejaculate that way so try
to save it so to speak for a once in a while attempt at intercourse.

Everybody sees this process differently and tries all sorts of means of
coping with the fun that is drifting away.

Hi

Some individuals have psychological issues which may cause some forms
of ED. They can nonetheless masturbate. Best Regards.

Because it's possible to have an organism without having an erection, yes.
It's not "Organism Dysfunction," it's "Erection Dysfunction." The two are
separate.
