I'll try and be brief. I've been on Testosterone replacement for five
years. I have three kids the youngest is four years old. I was tested and
found out about two years ago that I'm sterile. I'm told the Testosterone
replacement therapy has told my body to stop producing semen. If I stop the
Testosterone injections will my body start producing semen again. I want to
have another baby. Am I out of luck?? Can anyone answer this question. If
it will go back to producing semen how long will it take. Please give me
some input.

Dave.

O.K., Dave, I'll help as much as I can.

Yes, TRT will make you sterile. As a matter of fact, there is currently a
*birth control* method for men that is either approved, or about to be that
encompasses testosterone pellet implant to shut down sperm production.

Now, getting going again is another thing. If you want to have sperm
production again, there's only two approaches:

(1) Stop the TRT and hang through a very long, miserable, and undesireable
phase of being basically and stump that feels like shit until the HPT axis
starts working again....

or

(2) Go to the Dr., preferably a REPRODUCTIVE ENDROCRONOLOGIST (get the
feeling I can't stress that enough?), and get on HMG or HCG therapy(please
google those and save me some typing), they are *fertility* drugs and will
vastly speed the advancement of sertoli cells in the testicles to produce
lots of sperm. This is the vastly reccomended method.

Now, understand Dave, there is a reason you're on TRT in the first place, so
there is the chance you won't be producing a lot of T whilst producing
sperm, you'll just have to wait and see.

I went through the HMG cycle for over 6 months (WAY not cheap), and HCG for
over another 6 (much better price), after being on T gel for 1 1/2 years.
I'm vassed, I was just trying to make natural T. Testicles got *way big*
from cells multiplying, but no good T, so I changed courses.

Hope this helps, tried to keep it brief and skip the med explanation.

Disclaimer: I am not a Dr. nor do I play one on the net. Just been there
done that.
