Increased T and weight loss

| Firstly, thanks to everyone who keeps this group going. I won't
mention names, as soon as I do I'll forget someone. But you guys know
who you are. I've been lurking/participating for about 3 years. Words
cannot adequately express just how helpful ASI has been.
I will say I was happy to see that Muerta used to be Sin Loi. I
wondered what had happened to Sin Loi as he responded to one of my
first posts. Coincidentally, on the day I read Muerta's post about
his past life as SL I had used one of his expressions in a
conversation about my progress. I had mentioned to someone that I had
lacked a "lust for life."
Anyway. In just under 2 years I've lost 97 pounds. According to a
spreadsheet I keep the weight loss coincides with my use of Dostinex
and the hormone balancing (I assume) that occurred with continued use
of the medicine.
In short ... I believe that as my T increased, my weight dropped.
So, yesterday I was at the endo. The doc and staff asked about the
drop in weight and I explained I thought it was the Dostinex and the
effect it had on my hormones.
Maybe I wasn't clear in what I said, but my doc indicated he'd never
heard that Dostinex had any weight-control properties.
Prior to taking Dostinex I tried hard to lose weight without success.
I've Googled on this, and naturally found a lot of info. However, just
about everything I read involves giving external T to HIV positive
patients to keep them from losing weight while on treatment. Other
items involved low-T in women and how boosting their T would affect
weight.
Finally -- the question ... Has anybody experienced significant weight
loss as their T increased (and maybe prolactin decreased)? Did you
have trouble losing weight with low T?
As I type and reread this, the answer seems obvious. But I'm puzzled
over why my endo wouldn't have put this together. Maybe it came to him
last night as he was dropping off to sleep. Maybe I've the first big
fat guy he had experience with with respect to Low-T.
(I've dropped from 370 to 272 -- I need to get below 250).
Again, thanks.

I never had problems with prolactin, but within one year of T
substitution my weight dropped from 90 Kg (198 pound) to 74 Kg (163
pound). When I gave up smoking my weight went up to 81 Kg but I
managed to return to 78 kg .
Before the TRT I just could not help gaining weight.

My Endo mentioned that he had observed the effect with a lot of his
patients.

Well done! Keep up the good work!

Do I get a royalty for that? ;)
Yeah, the short story is that I googled for one of my own posts one day, and
find this whacko (more so than me) is posting to a couple of groups using
that nic. I picked it up from VN where it meant, literally, "tough shit". As
I recall, I was far from the only one in-country that utilized that phrase.
Though I'd better bail on that nic whilst I still could.
Yes, I dropped weight without trying, no lifestyle change, no diets. I was
pretty well overweight, still ain't no male model, but better, and it could
well be connected with the restoration of energy one experinces, or maybe
just waking up the metabolism. I have read that it's a common side effect. I
didn't start dropping it until I went on the cypionate and finally got
right.
Some of you that have been around a while may recall that Or Eon (GRHS)
mentioned that he was HIV positive and on achieving a good T level,
experienced no wasting.

| I am practically unable to gain weight, in fact gaining is a problem, at
this time I am trying to gain everyday. I can eat all day and gain very
little. I am 64. I had my testosterone measured last week:
testosterone 1500 (300 to 1000 ng/dl)
L.H. 300 (250 to 1600 mU/dl)
prolactin 890 (400 to 1800 ng/dl)
I think you have hit on something.
