Donsbach pleaded guilty in 1971 to one count of practicing medicine without
a license

In 1973, Donsbach was charged with nine more counts of illegal activity

In 1974, Donsbach was found guilty of violating his probation and was fined

In 1976, Donsbach acquired a license to practice naturopathy in Oregon,
based on a document that was later revealed to be a forgery

In 1979, Donsbach began operating Donsbach University, a nonaccredited
correspondence school

In June 1985, the FDA sent Donsbach and HRG a regulatory letter

In 1987, Donsbach filed for bankruptcy, listing no assets and over $3
million in debts claimed by more than 100 creditors

In 1990, Donsbach was prohibited from holding a naturopathic license based
on the forged degree

1993 Complaint for Forfeiture in the 1996 case states that Donsbach obtained
money from insurance companies by misrepresenting the nature and location of
treatments he rendered

In 1996, Donsbach pled guilty to smuggling unapproved drugs into the U.S.
and not paying income tax on the money he made for selling them

In January 2006, the Mexican Government ordered Hospital Santa Monica to
shut down.

Yeah, the last time I saw him he looked a little flabby. Guess that latest
weight loss formula he introduced didn't work out too well, huh?

Whoa, his newsletter promotes the AMAS as a cancer screening test.
This is scary if people don't know about this dubious test and relied upon
it .

So he does denial not once, but multiple times, about multiple illegal
charges brought by different agencies/different people.......and to one
charge to which he said he was 'Vindicated' of.....he was put on 3 years
PROBATION. Oh yeah, some 'character' alright......

Well, I see that Kurt is starting up a new non-profit but it's not listed
on the Ca attorney general's charity search. He's soliciting membership
fees and board members then he'll choose a director....heh heh
Wonder if Ilena Rosenthal will apply for that job....I mean she's accustomed
to working in tiny spaces like a postal mail box ....that is fully
staffed!!! LOL

Interesting article from 1996...
Clinic doesn't live up to its sunny publicity .

ROSARITO BEACH, Mexico -- Watching the video that Hospital Santa Monica
mails to prospective patients is like viewing a health nut's travelogue.
There's the pool, scenic ocean views, talk of the "miracles" that result
from the therapies offered there, and a thoughtful doctor overseeing it all.

In person it's another story. The pool is half full and clouded by
construction debris. The ocean is barely visible, hidden by power lines and
several buildings.

The treatments would indeed have to be miraculous, because no study has ever
shown them to work.

And the doctor, Kurt Donsbach, is no doctor at all. He once pleaded guilty
to practicing medicine without a license in California. On another occasion
the FDA ordered him to stop selling a drug promoted for heart disease. His
naturopathic license was yanked in Oregon when state authorities concluded
he submitted a doctored diploma.
