ok, I was staying out of it, but enough is enough -
It's a silver coated catheter. There is NO EVIDENCE it has any systemic
abilities. It may and probably does reduce local colonization rates on the
catheter. That's a local effect, not systemic. I fully understand how the
company claims their catheter works, more so than you and others since this
topic came up several months ago and I personally contacted them. No
evidence of any systemic benefit. None. It is not different than an
antibiotic coated catheter. I don't recall how it compared in terms of
cost.
