| Did anyone watch the program 2 show of Remaking American Health?
PROGRAM 2 - FIRST DO NO HARM focuses on efforts to eliminate
hospital-acquired infections and medication errors.
Points covered:
98,000 medical errors. 90,000 for infections in Hospitals.
MRSA (infection) Secrets.
When elimination of infections was mentioned. It was laughed at.
Patients referred to other hospitals, no records went with patients.
If they had MRSA it was then at this hospital.
Competition was a factor. There was no screening for MRSA.
Medications were transcribed incorrectly. They were hand written.
Computers would fix this problem.
