Calling All Injured Consumers:

Just recently, the global pharmaceutical industry announced plans to
"voluntarily disclose" information on clinical
drug trials - but this plan falls far short of what's needed to ensure
the safety of prescription drugs on the
market. The risks of not knowing about these harmful side effects are
too great.

And Congress is finally waking up to this crisis - Congress will be
debating a bill soon to create a
mandatory clinical trial registry, and we need to let themknow now
that we're expecting them to do the right thing
to protect our health and safety: http://www.care2.com/go/z/20620

By now I'm sure you've heard about the harmful risks of heavily
marketed drugs such as Vioxx, Celebrex and Paxil
that have recently come to light. It seems that the makersof Paxil and
Vioxx may have known about these risks from
negative clinical trial results years ago - but did not make that
information public!

How can we make informed decisions about our health care without full
information on the risks and side effects of
the drugs we're prescribed?

It's time for Congress to act. We can't just trust drug companies to
voluntarily share negative information about
their products. We need federal legislation to require drug
manufacturers to publicly register all clinical drug trials and make
the trial results public.

Please sign this petition to Congress today, and ask for amandatory
clinical trial registry - our health may depend on it!

Thank you for acting today,
