Motorcyclist killed by truck

NewsOK.com

A motorcyclist was killed Monday when he was run over by a
tractor-trailer rig on Interstate 35 in Oklahoma City. The
truck driver allegedly was high on drugs.

Bryce Anthony Bush, 60, of Springer, was pronounced dead at
the scene of the 8:30 a.m. crash in the southbound lanes of
I-35 near NE 36, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The truck driver, Jory Allen Jaques, 30, of Shidler, was
detained and tested positive for drugs, the patrol said.

What do you mean "run over". That could mean the cyclist was doing
wheelies and lost control and went into a skid and got run over. If so,
whose fault is that?.

On saturday i saw some idiot on a motorcycle weaving back and forth in
his lane for no reason at all. He had the machine tilted at a 45 degree
angle first to his left and then to his right. Over and over.

Guy's 60 years old. Doing wheelies? WHat makes you think
that? You think all motorcyclists do wheelies? Give me a
break.

Police decided to do drug testing on the semi driver. May be
they do that in all fatal accidents caused by a commercial
driver, I don't know. I figure they had a legitimate reason.

Then I take it you consider all motorcyclists are idiots. I'm

Nah, it was me trying to even out my tire wear. Durn interstates.

Or maybe someone (Laura Bush murdered her boy friend, perhaps?) was
following too closely, at least until the rider started weaving.

45 degrees? Liar. No one is going to be able to lean their bike that
far and stay in one lane.

I guess you don't know how to ride then if you can't do 45 degrees and

The trucker probablly gets some pretty good shit when he is making his
runs close to the southern border. Judy, OTOH, from my understanding uses
white-out and/or spray paint since that is all it can afford after its
mommy gives it its share of the take from turning tricks.

Do you see a lot of that?

Riders do that to get the attention of any BDCs nearby that they suspect
are likely to run into them. Clues to their zombie-like state are
following too closely and late braking, wheels turned while waiting to
turn left, crowding the white line, driving too slow, cellphone-to-head,
etc.

Plain ol' exuberance?

Dude, I like to ride. I love the swoop and glide. I sometimes do that
kinda weaving myself, just for the sheer joy of it, if I haven't had a
shot a country road for awhile.

'Course, I tend to prefer to do it when there are no cagers around to
become confused by my behavior, as you apparently did. But that's just
me.

Maintaining the lane @ 45 degrees isn't a problem. What is a problem is
leaning it 45 one way, and then the other, while in traffic. Not that
it couldn't be done, just that I'm not interested in doing it.

For that matter, what do they mean "tested positive for drugs"?

Did he smoke a joint 3 weeks prior to the accident? Did he have a BAC
of 0.16 when he did this?

"Tested positive for drugs" is a pretty meaningless statement.

I fell into the trap of thinking that traffic wasn't that slow. It's
very rare that traffic around here drops to the speed that I would
want to perform such a maneuver.

Not rare around here. Every morning, there's a 2-3 mile stretch that
can be crawling as slow as 1mph, or be wide open at 80mph, and
everything in between. There have been days I could have literally gone
around in circles in my lane and not held up traffic.
