Hello

I am not sure if this is the right group to post this in but I figured
if it isn't you folks could direct me to the correct group or at least
give me some guidance.
My question is who or what agency should I contact in my area if I
wanted to bring attention to a public safety issue, that has to deal
with peace officers and Emergency responce, I will go into more detail
only if you want me to. Also just to let you know I am not trying to
get any 1 agency in trouble I just want to make them aware of the
problem
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Raymon

Raymon,

Give it a try. If your post is way off topic, or belongs in another
group, someone will let you know.

My problem that I have seen way to many times is that I will see a
peace officer heading towards me wether it be in the same direction or
the opposite, at a speed that is faster then the speed limit at times
well above the limit, and it is only until they pass me that I see red
lights showing from the rear and absolutely no lights at all from the
front, I was in Oregon about a month ago and I was the lead car headed
south and there was a group of cars heading north and about 6 car
lengths ahead of me a peace officer pulls out in to my lane, forcing
me to swerve to keep from hitting him it is then that I noticed AGAIN
from the back the red lights showing.
I find this to be a VERY BIG public safety issue, and we/ I need to
bring attention to it. because according traffic codes it is against
the law for ANY emmergency vehilce to be responding to a call with out
at least 1` red light showing from the front of the vehicle visible
from 500 feet.
Mind you as I said before I am not looking to get any one Agency in
trouble I just want them to be aware of this and stop this very
dangerous act.
Thanks again
Raymon

Sure is. Seems quite reckless, are you sure it was an actual officer?
