APCO-MS has joined forces with our friends in the Mississippi Chapter
of NENA to create an educational opportunity like the Southeast has
never seen! Join us for Conference 2005 and be part of three days of
education, networking, fellowship, professional development, and fun.
What is Conference 2005?
Conference 2005 is a joint effort between the Mississippi Chapter of
the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International
(APCO-MS) and the Mississippi Chapter of the National Emergency Number
Association (NENA). While our organizations address different concerns
in public safety, we share a single goal of saving greater numbers of
lives and property. education is one of the greatest keys to that
goal, and we have created Conference 2005 to provide education and
professional development for public safety professionals all over the
Southeast.
The event brings you top-quality education from some of the most
respected names in public safety, such as the National Crime Prevention
Task Force, American Heart Association, Mississippi Justice Information
Center, National Crime Information Center, APCO International, and many
more. It's a great chance to fill those continuing education
requirements you need, and anyone involved in a public safety
profession is invited.
You'll also get to meet with top vendors of the products and services
that make your job possible. Learn about new technologies and hot
items, sneak a peek at what's just around the corner, and get advice
from the experts on making the most of your existing equipment. Pick
up cool tricks from the pros while learning how to save money and make
your work more productive.
When and Where
Conference 2005 will be held at Pearl River Resort in Choctaw,
Mississippi on May 9-11, 2005. Pearl River Resort is a development of
the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, and includes the Golden Moon
and Silver Star hotels/casinos, Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, Geyser Falls
Water Theme Park and Clearwater Key, and the Hard Rock Beach Club.
Great shopping, dining, spas, and salons are available on the premises,
plus there are many other local attractions and entertainment in the
area.
Registration
The Conference is $190, with registration available through the dates
of the event. Register by April 18, 2005 and get a special discount
rate of $175. Can't be there for the entire Conference? Join us at a
special day rate of $85.

Lodging
Special group accommodations are available through Pearl River Resort's
Silver Star Hotel & Casino. Make your reservation by calling (866)
44-PEARL. Be sure to reference APCO-MS/NENA Conference 2005 to get the
special group rate of $56 per night. Lodging is also available on-site
at Golden Moon Hotel & Casino, and at other area hotels.
Reimbursement and Continuing Education
Conference 2005 is fully reimbursable by many regulatory agencies as
certified continuing education. The educational content meets the
highest standards for continuing education requirements, and
certificates for continuing education hours will be issued to all
attendees.
