| EMTs AND CORD CLAMPING - EVERYONE SHOULD BE INTERESTED
Why did voluntary public official Carey Gregory, EMT lie and suggest that
OBs don't immediately clamp cords? See Connecticut EMTs, URL below.
Even if EMTs don't immediately clamp (Carey says they don't), the OB
immediate cord clamping protocol is obviously WRONG.
It should be changed NOW - nationwide.
BABIES (not OBs) should decide how much blood babies transfuse to themselves
at birth.
See Dr. Morley's BLOCKBUSTER indictment of immediate cord clamping below.
Amy (of New Zealand) asked why I posted on immediate cord clamping to
alt.support.breast-implant...
"Why are they interested in cord clamping?" she asked...
GENERAL ANSWER: Everyone should be interested in OBs immediately amputating
natural oxygenation/transfusion devices called placentas. See Dr. Morley's
BLOCKBUSTER indictment below. It's everyone's health care system and the
OBs are senselessly tripping up babies early in life - healthwise -
sometimes killing them. In addition to senselessly closing birth canals up
to 30%, OBs are senselessly robbing babies of up to 50% of the blood they
would otherwise have transfused to themselves. These are obvious, easily
ended obstetric crimes - except for the fact that allied health
professionals and others are remaining silent - babies be damned...
One allied health professional - voluntary public official Carey Gregory,
EMT - calls me "psychotic" "evil" and "moronic" for persistently
protesting...
See Connecticut EMTs to help OBs (and babies)?

SPECIFIC ANSWER: My original post was on a thread being copied to
alt.support.breast-implant.
Women considering breast implants - or wondering about symptoms - ought to
go there to hear Ilena Rosenthal's side of the story. Ilena beat
"Quackbuster" Stephen Barrett, MD in court. I think she is saying something
important.
The abovementioned voluntary public official Carey Gregory, EMT disagrees
with Ilena and publicly attacks her by comparing her to me, saying,
"In short, you're very much like Gastaldo and headed back to my killfile
very
soon."

Maybe Ilena is right about breast implants - maybe she is wrong.
I think she is right.
Thanks for reading.
Sincerely,
Todd

PS1 Volunteer public official Carey Gregory, EMT lied when he indicated
that OBs wait until the cord stops pulsating and baby is pink.
OBs do NOT generally wait. Only EMTs wait - and they rarely actually
deliver babies. See the Connecticut EMTs URL, above.
THEN AGAIN... Contrary to Carey's assertion, some Connecticut EMTs may NOT
wait until the cord stops pulsating, as in,
"Connecticut Paramedics...About 8:20 p.m., David Murphy, a Campion Ambulance
paramedic...check[ed] the baby...[then]...clamped the umbilical cord..."
http://www.defrance.org/artman/publ...inter_647.shtml
There is a 1+ minute protocol in place...
"Obtain 1 minute APGAR...Clamp cord...Cut cord...
North Central Connecticut EMS Council
Regional EMT-Intermediate Protocols
November 2001
http://www.northcentralctems.org/do...T-IProt2001.pdf
Fortunately, the next sentence reads: "Clamping of cord is not critical,
and does not need to be done immediately..."
Why not say do NOT clamp cord immediately?
Why not say: "If OBs at the hospitals you are delivering laboring mothers
to immediately clamps cords - make them stop."
Time to change the protocol - NOW.
IN ANOTHER STATE...
Soon-to-be Paramedic Aurora Rose - likely by now a Paramedic - wrote about
clamping a cord with a baby still "gray-blue-purple"...
"The baby finally started breathing on its own, but there was no improvement
from the gray-blue-purple hue to her skin. Our medic hands me the umbilical
clamps, and with my baby goo covered gloves, I managed somehow to get them
both clamped. Our EMT partner grabs the scalpel, and with me holding the
cord (and saying a brief but pointed prayer for the safety of my fingers),
she cut the cord, wrapped the baby in a towel, and handed it off to the
nurse who had just come out of the ER door to our ambulance..."
AuroraRose Evans, Soon-to-be Paramedic
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Infant born on May 31, 2004
http://www.defrance.org/artman/publ...ticle_883.shtml
This EMS House of DeFrance web page carries NO remark from any fully
qualified EMT/Paramedic to say that the cord should NOT be clamped until the
cord has stopped pulsating and the baby is breathing, pink and not in need
of resuscitation... I'll cc Valerie DeFrance at v.defrance@att.net
Obviously, either Aurora forgot that she was told to wait - or she was never
told - I suspect the latter in spite of Carey's assurances that EMTs wait.
WHY WAIT?
Here is George Malcolm Morley, MB CHB FACOG criticizing
immediate-cord-clamping ACOG Practice
Bulletin B138:
"ACOG's routine treatment (B138) of these depressed neonates is immediate
cord clamping to obtain cord blood pH studies. The child's only functioning
source of oxygen - the placenta - is amputated together with 30% to 50+% of
its natural blood volume. Total asphyxia is imposed until the lungs
function, and the depressed (asphyxiated, hypovolemic) child starts its
extra-uterine life in hypovolemic shock...
"B138 was first published in 1993. Every cesarean section baby, every
depressed child, every premie, and every child born with a neonatal team in
the delivery room has its cord clamped immediately to facilitate the
panicked rush to the resuscitation table. The current epidemic of immediate
cord clamping coincides with an epidemic of autism.
"For the trial lawyers, it is essential that the 'true genesis' of cerebral
palsy remains unknown, because that 'true genesis' (B.138) is a standard of
medico-legal care..."

CAREY GREGORY, EMT, that volunteer public official/assistant chief of
emergency medical services in Canton, CT who LIED (see above) is now saying
I am committing a "felony" by emailing EMTs trying to get them to do
something.
"What you're doing is a felony in [Oregon], and if you think I won't
file the complaint, you are badly mistaken."
http://groups.google.com/groups?sel...m&output=gplain
I suspect volunteer public official Carey is attempting to cover-up a
massive crime of MDs - by alleging that *I* am committing crime.
What if I am?
No one ordered Carey to LIE on behalf of MDs. Why did he do that?
Why has Carey been calling me "moronic" and "psychotic" and "evil" for
emailing EMTs to ask that they help stop this bizarre OB behavior?
See again: Connecticut EMTs to help OBs (and babies)?
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/grou...st/message/2731
I'll cc this to everyone who received this just-cited post...
Hopefully, they will help make it so mothers don't have to be careful about
their babies' cords.
Hopefully, they will make sure that BABIES decide how much blood they
transfuse to themselves.
Thanks for reading everyone.
Sincerely,
Todd

PS2 I will also cc Oregon Attorney General Hardy Meyers at
hardy.myers@state.or.us. Hardy will know if I am a committing a felony. He
will prosecute me if I am - and HOPEFULLY he will (finally) do something
about the obvious crimes *I* am reporting.^^^
Why *are* we letting OBs immediately amputate natural
oxygenation/transfusion devices called placentas?
READ what Dr. Morley is saying. See above.
Why are we letting OBs close birth canals?
PREGNANT WOMEN: It is easy to allow your birth canal to OPEN the "extra" up
to 30%.
For simple PROOF that OBs are knowingly closing birth canals up to
30%...
For simple instructions on how women can allow their
birth canals to OPEN their birth canals the "extra" up to 30%...
See I ain't no Semmelweis, but...
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/grou...st/message/2591
^^^I am in favor of pardons in advance for MDs. MDs are just academic prime
cuts forced through this culture's most powerful meatgrinder - medical
school. Pardons in advance will allow MDs to keep doing their valid medical
work to make money to pay the civil damage awards that will be inevitable
once it becomes known that they committed massive (sometimes fatal) birth
crime and lied to cover up.
Why did Canton, CT assistant chief Carey Gregory lie - babies be damned?
I think it's because EMTs are by law subservient to MDs.
Here's a pertinent Oregon regulation...
According to Oregon Administrative Rule 847, Division 35, Section 30,
Subsection (2):
"The scope of practice for First Responders and EMTs is not intended as
statewide standing orders or protocols. The scope of practice is the maximum
functions which may be assigned to a First Responder or EMT by a
Board-approved supervising physician."
EMT protocol (as stated by Carey) is RIGHT.
The OB protocol is wrong. That's what Dr. Morley is saying. Let's change
it nationwide. NOW.
THEN let's prosecute Gastaldo for whatever "felony" he has committed by
emailing EMTs in response to Carey's posts calling me "moronic" etc. for
protesting massive OB crimes.
This post will be archived for global access within 24 hours in the Google
usenet archive. Search http://groups.google.com for "EMTs and cord
clamping - everyone should be interested."
