| "Firefighter Adrienne Walsh never wanted to be a feminist cause celebre.
She wanted only to go as far as her abilities would take her, which meant
joining the elite Rescue Co. 4 of Queens, but her years of training counted for
nothing. After 32 days, the men of Rescue 4 drove Walsh back to her old unit,
Squad 18 in Greenwich Village, where the FDNY says she handles building
collapses, hazardous-materials spills and confined-space rescues with
distinction.

I went to Squad 18's webpage http://www.fdnysquad18.com/index.php to ask how
she was doing after all the sexist behaviour, but the answer was at the top
of the page.
Very disappointing.

That's right, each and every guy of this crew, can hold their own.
a woman is a weak link in the chain. so what she has the ability to be
the weakest link. what would have been better the group to disband and
leave her the sole member?
