Letter to Editor, NY Times published regarding Yog

Forwarded message from Bhadraiah Mallampalli

NY Times published an abridged version of my letter. They
goofed up the name of the referred article but it doesn't
matter.

At last, the fight has started. NY Times may be willing
to publish articles on yog from traditionalist point of
view. Let us do it.

YOG AND VARIATIONS

To the Editor: "Everybody Calm? Let's Surf!" (July 24) by
Jane Margolies has raised some debatable issues. Any
marketable product is subject to innovation, and yog is
no exception. But I hope the message of yog is not
distorted in the process.

yog represents the merging of individual self into
supreme self. The peripheral aspects and presentation
techniques do not substantially alter the main theme. I
feel that the views of traditional yog teachers must be
given sufficient coverage to provide a balanced view.

First of all, innovation is not new to yog. Buddhism also
adapted yog in its own way. So it is not unwelcome for
any scientist or member of another religion to adapt yog.
I hope it doesn't end up in dumping the original
inventors as "orthodox" while glorifying only the
innovators.

It is wrong to say that traditional yog teachers are
anti-running or anti-weights. They only say don't mix the
sports, because yog needs concentration and careful self-
introspection.

It is mischief to say that yog has been unshackled from
Hinduism. Science had to be unshackled from religion
because Christianity suppressed science. Hinduism
actively encouraged research into yog, so what is there
to unshackle?

The terrorist mission of Jesus stated in the Christian bible:

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not so send
peace, but a sword.
"For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in
law.
"And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Which no doubt explains why India is such a scientifically advanced
country, as opposed to the primitive Christianity-suppressed west.

You say : Yoga represents the merging of individual self into supreme
self.
Then I ask ?
What is being individual and what is being supreme?
So are we talking about god, creator, ultimate something whatever ? or
are we just talking about LIFE?
Which one?
IT looks like that there is going to be a CRAZY DIVISION in here too...
So what I do really not understand about any discipline in the world is
everyone is
friying their minds with a peace of word as 'SUPREME'
So, might it be that most of human being is feeling very lazy and
comfortable of putting the blame on something as SUPREME
let me explain it with the examples...
when we are happy we say ohh discipline helped me...oley oley oley oley
champion tai chi,yoga,kundalini!!!lalala lalala
when we are on struggle we say OHHH SUPREME OHH SUPREME!!!! then we
blame Jesus help!!!! Mandalas help!!!!! Allah help!!!!
But never in a million years most of us doesnt try our best and see the
thing with the eyes of a SCIENCE!!!! or let me say BY USING THE WAY OF
SCIENCE...
The rest is only illusion...
Illusions can be many....
Lie is an illusion for example...As a matter of fact lie borns from
illusion....
So wrong thoughts are illusion....
Manipulating something is illusion....
Giving wrong meanings to the right things is illusion as : apple is
applle we can not say apple is an orange...as we can never describe
burb as farting from mouth...Cause fart usually comes from down
stairs...Burb comes from up stairs...So we have to say the right thing
for the right place!!!
But unfortunately we do not ...As I do hehehehehehe

So,shall we change the sentence as Yoga is LIFE...
Cause thats more simple and possible to accept...
Why?
Cause the word MERGE is not the correct word...Its a strange word...
has many meanings as to be compounded by something or someone
whatever...then there are subject which does the action
then second name to go into...then question of who or what does go into
?
then to steal....wh or what does steal ( stealing what : bell or other
something ? )
hahahahahahahahaha so CAN WE JUST SAY :
YOGA IS LIFE AND LIFE IS YOGA!!!!!

Yoga is a music....harmony..... being tuned.... a wonderful
melody....but sometimes a silence....and more....

lilashi

and more...
merge = steal=strike the hour !
then we say SILENCE!

Then I learn ENGLISH !
See science is the way words are the tool but all this is for LIVING
and LEARNING...for the life but LIFE!
