SURAT/AHMEDABAD: An alarming trend can be seen in Gujarat's cities
with two rape cases being reported from Surat since Sunday and three
from Ahmedabad in the same period. A 25-year-old woman has blamed two
people of having confined her to a room in an isolated place in Surat
and raping her.

Women's organisations in Surat are out on the streets in protest against
the tardy pace of investigations in the earlier rape cases.
