La verge en main mise au milieu des BRANCHES,
De l'onde il moulle & le limbe & le pied:
Vn peur & voix fremissent par les manches:
Splendeur diuine. Le diuin pres s'assied.
The wand in hand is placed in the middle of the tripod's legs,
With water he sprinkles both the hem of his garment & his foot:
A fearful voice & he trembles in his robes:
Divine splendor. The God sits nearby.
babelfish.altavista.com:
The rod in hand put at the medium of the BRANCHES,
the wave it moulle & the limb & the foot:
Vn fear & voices fremissent by the handles:
Splendour diuine. The diuin close assied.

His hand on the alidade at the junction of the legs,
He places one leg on the rim of the astrolabe
And the other at the point of intersection.
A vibration sweeps through his hand to the leg of the instrument
Divine splendor! It is the hour of revelation!
Comment on "branches," from above website:
branches. One of the french meanings is ramifications or divisions d'un
appareil qui partent d'un axe ou d'un centre [translation:
ramifications or divisions of a device going out from a center.
My interpretation:
Withdraw the consciousness from the extremities. It almost sounds like
the drawings of a pyramid, if you think of a pyramid having legs and
the third eye at the top. The middle of the branches means the third
eye, and the attention scatters out from there. "The rod, or wand,"
might refer to the genital region, so he is saying withdraw from the
lowest chakras to the highest. In the Navy, there is an old saying,
"Drop your cock (male organ), and pick up your sock." LOL Nostradamus
is saying, "Drop your cock, and do your meditation!"
He says the consciousness with come up like a wave to the third eye.
It will flow towards the third eye. A powerful voice vibrates within
the robes, garments, or in this case the human body. This means that
while having the human form, he is in touch with the Supreme Being.
God sits nearby, and he was the source of Nostradamus' prophecies. In
my opinion, he must have had access to Anami Desh (Nameless Region).
Christopher Marlowe, William Shakespeare, Francis Bacon, and John Donne
practiced the same type of meditation, which Nostradamus practiced.
Marlowe called it "gathering all your wits," and simply "muses."
