| What if there's such a thing as a technique that enables a person to
experientially validate the existance of pure being before it become
scluttered up with intellectual and ego attachments?
Maybe, just maybe, there are a few enlightened individuals able to cognize
the absolute truth, dignity, and validity of vedic wisdom handed down
through the centuries and experience it in its purity.
The original seers were able to cognize the Ved at the level of
consciousness in the first place. Why should it be so difficult to imagine
that anyone of our current era could also perceive it, experience it and
live it.
This possibility would certainly not make sense to those holding on to the
old and distorted intellectual "understanding:" of reality. I remember
hearing MMY give a definition of addiction. "The mistaken attempt by the
intellect to recapture some past experience".
Sounds like maya to me. No matter if it's a thought, an experience, a
belief, etc.......it can still be an aspect of addiction.......holding on to
some thing for a sense of security, meaning and/or ego gratification.
The practice of transcendental meditation enables me to align the intellect
with and surrender the ego to the boundlessness and ever expanding reality
of the absolute even though the intellect still likes to play in the
relative. So I go to work, have a relationship, exercise the intellect,
enjoy nature photography etc. and I see the absolute at play in all of it.
I used to cling onto beliefs I developed through mental gymnastics and
rationalization. Thus my beliefs shaped and defined me.
Today I have understanding based upon experiential awareness. I just witness
how and where the experience of absolute bliss consciousness influences my
experience of day-today life.
Vedic wisdom: I Am That, Thou Art That, All This Is
That.....................
My experience of it: You breath in, You breath out, The rest is just
details.
