Slave morality Michael. Let me try to put it in archaic terms so you
can understand.

Slaves are given rules and guidelines they need to adhere to by their
masters. You have a list of sins that people should stay away from.
Greed, fear, avarice, murder and so on. These are minumum requirements
for civil society. This is like the rules you give to slaves to keep
them in their place.

You couch this in medieval terms with *satan*, *creator*, *evil* and
the *true guide* in a tug a war. Its like putting chains on the notion
of god as a being limited by the dualistic concerns of maya.

On the other hand you could grow up, shift paradigms and think about
master morality.

The masters look towards virtues, excellences, they can aspire towards.
Rather than trying to meet minumum requirements, the masters strive to
act with fairness, love, justice, compassion, and so on. Consciousness
expands as the master works towards these ideal.

This is the crux of Aristotle's ethics. It is a morality for those who
want to excel in their dharma, their civic duty, their family, and
their life.

You may consider moving from the dark side of slave morality towards
the light of the master morality.

It builds the foundation for self determination, free will, and
democracy. Make this jump and you can move on from there.
