I assume you meant to say we [won't] have any new victims... er,
newbies.
That's very funny Stu... Billions of words have been written about yoga
and yet people still have questions they need answering. There'll
always be new victims... er, students, when ever the teacher is ready
:-)
I don't know about you but it seems when I am looking into something,
the more questions I answer the more arise. And there is also the idea
that a well informed person will make more, higher quality inquiries.
>Seems like the FAQ should be more like guidelines, some favorite links

Agreed! Because one can only give cursory answers in a FAQ format,
these act to provide guidelines, suggestions and a "jump off" point for
people to continue to inquire. Fact is there is a huge amount of
resources available for anyone that is really interested in any type of
yoga. I think that we can be helpful in pre-sorting through these
resources and providing pointers for others less experienced or
knowledgeable.
I also think there is a danger in trying to provide exhaustive answer
to any question (wikipedia style). It is invertible that any attempt to
define something very personal like yoga will turn into controversy,
(provoking hate and discontent). As Dave pointed out. It is the very
nature of yoga and the process of self discovery which it entails, that
we must eventually answer all of our questions for ourselves.
>Hari's FAQ was really nice.
Agreed! We stand on the shoulders of giants!
