I remember about four years ago I read a quote in one of these two
books that stated
something to the effect that a wise person enjoys the contemplation of
the self, and in
that enjoyment of witnessing the self there is a type of spiritual
blessing. It wasn't in
a Bhagavad Gita sense of the self in all beings, but a more Patanjali
sense of focusing
on something deeper than just thought in oneself, and by returning to
this type of meditation
one is blessed.
Does anyone know these texts well enough to know which passage this
might be?
