The book called "Revelation" means no more to me than the Law Code of
Hammurabi, and as far as I'm concerned, it contains a good deal more
nonsense.

It is precisely the low level of consciousness prevalent on this sorry-XXX
planet that makes a Hitler possible. By contributing to the continuance of
that same low level of awareness of who we are and where we came from, you
are paving the way for the next Hitler. Since you fundies are just another
stripe of fascist, I have am sure that he will not be tardy in arriving.
You'll all put on your brown shirts and rejoice, while he tramples the
Constitution and leads us to Armageddon, which is all you morons really
want anyway, thinking that it would prove the truth of the Bible. You are
no mystic, Glen, and you sully both the name of mysticism and that of
Christianity.

I, of course, have been pulling your chain. I knew before I wrote a single
word that you were impervious to all reason and that you had an agenda
quite different from any sort of meaningful dialogue. You shame all those
that you claim to represent, and any who listen to you deserve (yawn) what
they get.

You cannot prove arguments by quoting sources that only you or your
party/religion/whatever recognizes the authority of. If you want some
respect, stop trying to force your hidebound babble on the rest of us.
Some of us think for ourselves, and find that it serves us better than
following mass suicidal/genocidal, armageddon-enamored morons like you.

There was a time when most people believed that Earth was flat and that
the sun revolved around it. The Christian establishment of those times did
its best to perpetuate such views, resorting to torture and murder when
necessary, but that did not make them true. Repeating the laughably
cryptic, apocalyptic language of Revelation does not make it anything
other than what it is, a diatribe against the Roman Empire, nor does it
make it relevant to these sad times that labor under the burden of
ignoramuses like you who would deny to all of us the light that knowledge
and reason could offer.

And why do you do this? Just to create a self-fulfilling prophecy, filled
with hate and violence, that will, in your own mind at least, vindicate
"prophecy," thus propping up the miserable, ruinous house of cards that is
your belief system. It's sad enough that you and your kind do this to
yourselves, but its criminal that you try to force it on others.
