| I was wondering if anyone else had seen this. A friend bought the
ARTHRITIS: An Integrated Approach DVD for me from Amazon recently. The
DVD was excellent, and on it they have numerous links etc. (including
to their own site www.visionhealth.co.uk). It is a very good resource,
with live chat room (experts come fortnightly), live news feed (coming
soon), links, articles and other great detail. It is well worth a
visit.
The dvds have fantastic natural approaches to Arthritis, including
amazing sections on yoga, the cleansing breath, chi gung, bi-aura,
kairos, acunpuncture, massage and much more. If you know any-one who is
suffering from these conditions, please spread the word. On a related
note, I read in a recent news article that the company is doing several
more dvds on chronic ailments/conditions and is updating their expert
network, so if there are any yoga teachers out there with health as
their "specialist" interest you would do well to contact them. Great
advert for your practice/class and a fantastic opportunity to do some
good and raise the awareness of yoga and its use as a health boosting
tonic.
I can't speak (directly) for the other dvds (Diabetes and Asthma), but
the
Arthritis one was excellent (since my original posting I've had five
emails singing the praises of the other two dvds as well). It covers
complementary, alternative and
orthodox approaches to Arthritis. There are some 14 world experts, 50
chapters (more than 3 hours) on 2 dvd discs. It is hosted by the
endearing Barefoot Doctor and features such luminaries as: Dr Mosaraf
Ali (Physician to HRH Prince Charles), Dr Jean Monro (Founder of the
Breakspear Hospital, Physician to The Sultan of Brunei), Dr George
Lewith, Dr John Mansfield and many more...
If you've ever wondered about the truth behind all the hype which
surrounds alternative (environmental medicine, nutritional medicine,
diet, supplements, exercises, chi gung, yoga), complementary (herbal
medicine, acupunture, reflexology, homeopathy, kairos) , orthodox or
cutting edge methods
(like stem cell therapy, genetics and tissue engineering) then this is
for you. It's got some fantastic patient stories and testimonials, and
the sections on provocation neutralisation, environmental medicine and
nutritional medicine really stand out.
