you can do some postures of backward bending and the last one should
be the contraposture - forward bending:
(or the oposite : some forward bending followed by one backward
bending)

example of sequence:
sphinx
bhujangasana
shalabhasana
dhanurasana
paschimottanasana (contrap)

or just like this:
sphinx
bhujangasana
paschimottanasana (contrap)

another rule:
the twist asanas are always in the end just before inverted (after
twist asanas you can' t do backs or forwards bendings)

another sequence, with inverted:
sarvangasana
halasana
contrapose: matsyasana or ushtrasana or supta vajrasana

or
sarvangasana
backbending such as bhujangasana

etc
