Hi again,

(continuing)
the standing and seated poses together are classified:
a - backward bending (ex: bhujangasana)
b - forward bending (ex: paschimottanasana)
c - spinal twisting (ex: ardha matsyendrasana)
d - lateral (ex . trikonasana)

The purpose is always the same to make the spine more flexible, and let
the energy flow.

A preparatory pose of a pose is always a pose of the same type but more
smooth.
example:
- sphinx prepares bhujangasana

A contraposture is always the oposite, like this:

posture contraposture

backward forward
forward backward
left twist right twist
right twist left twist
lateral left lateral right
lateral right lateral left
