Hello.
Im new to yoga.
Im 16, and been following the 'Geri Body Yoga' video for a week now. I
have been practiscing for 1 1/2 - 2 hours a day.
Im just a beginner, but really starting to get with yoga.
In the video, i have been doing the ashtanga version with Sun and Moon
Salutations, and also sections called Strength and Bliss which
include warrior poses, triangle, bow pose, bridge, shoulder stand
etc.)
I havent really looked round at all the different versions, but this
was the only vidoe i had, and i love it!
Im 5'1 and weigh 7.5 stone so i dont really want to loose weight, just
tone up my body, and i feel yoga will do that. Its not just toning
though, i really feel relaxed and enjoy yoga very much so.

How long before you start to see a change in your body from Yoga?
Theres not hurry, but just wondering.
Any tipe you can give me? or any useful information!??
Am i doing the correct type of yoga!? Or as a beginner should i be
doing something different?

Thanx!!!!

Since you are so young, I think you will progress quickly: I guess you
will be able to see a change in your posture within a few months, and
you will be able to really feel the health effects and increased
flexibility and balance within less than half a year. Is that quick
enough for you? :-)

Get a book on yoga, or two, and also go to some yoga classes.

Hi Rhonda,

Welcome to Yoga. I haven't seen the Geri video but I'm sure the
postures will already be starting to tone and strengthen your body.

Keep it up!

Regards
