Author to skip a pose or not to skip a pose

I'm currently working through a sequence of poses from Baptiste's 40
days... book. I'm not able to complete the wheel pose or the side
splits fully. Should I conitnue to attempt a modified version and
then move on to week three sequence or stay in week two sequences
until I can do the pose fully?

Sometimes there are poses that one never masters. You have all your life to
work on them. I would move on, while continuing to work on the modified
poses.
