| I see that some people are against EGO.They think that if they get away
from EGO then they will be enlightened in a way!
Actually EGO means LIFE of any creature, without EGO there is no life
at all.Here only one thing is important to have an EGO and to be an
egoistic person...These two things are different.
If any creature has no ego that means it has no life. Why so many
people are against EGO? It is hard to understand this...
Some people think that if one dispels his/her EGO then he/she will be
enlightened...This is a mal-idea.If you notice how we try toshape our
EGOS, you will remember how hard it is.Starting from our near
vicinity,from our parentsfrom our friends,from our countrymen,from our
schools,from our nation,and from our ambience,we hardly get our
beautiful EGOS.
Yes our EGOS are beautiful,enlightened all the people show how
beautiful their EGOS.Their beauty comes from their EGOS.
So please do not reflect conditional minds as if it was a true action
being against EGO.
EGOS are beautiful,because LIFE is beautiful.

| EGO is nothing but the body-awareness. It is an automatic response of
the reflexes. It is like a pregnant state of the female. Which is
different from the previous state. The problem is, it is projecting the
sense of Self and most of the humans respond to it as real, and this
Self-delusion is a cause of all suffering; as the humans cannot
perceive the reality of the Spirit, so they have to accept the reality
of the body.
God is beautiful, the world is his Play - but the play only. Do not
accept the game for a real substance of life, look deeper in yourself
to realize the true life eternal.

I am with Puma here. One can not start the path towards a more
profound sense of Cosmic Self, without first making sure that their own
sense of self is healthy. First step is to look within and figure out
what exactly I am. Then the journey can begin.

What is body awareness? In order to keep going in this life,all the
alive creatures need it anyway...Only living creatures show this
awareness.Previous state has no information whatsoever...EGO is a sort
of conditioning but all living creatures need it...It is not important
if EGO is real or not,the important point is that all living creatures
are nothing without EGO.
Why humans can not perceive the reality of the Spirit?Do we have a
spirit in reality? Or do we believe that we have a spirit as said to us
by others?
God is beautiful but there are many ugly events and things in this
world too. If there is nothing but only GOD then to whom ugliness will
be about?
Eternal life is just a supposition so that people actually can not bear
the fact of being out of this world,and they invented it as a
projection of eternal life and gave a name as SPIRIT.
We should realize first of all that we need an EGO in order to live in
this world.Otherwise
we will be only spirits flying around like mosquitoes...
Ego is beautiful for me\for some other person it might be an ugly
entity...But the reality is that we all need EGO. Spirit only found
whoever needs it...ETERNAL LIFE people like to have it. But I am the
one knowing that life has an beginning and an end.
Eternal life for me is a good story...Some people goes to the theatroes
and if they easily become under its influence,some of them even cry a
lot...Spirit is like that ...

| Puma, as you are trying to validate the concept of Evil (EGO) in your
life, I wish you luck!
But, for me, as a practitioner, the practice is everything, as it does
change me and not my thinking about the change. As a user of this Yoga
board, please reveal your practice, so I, and others may decide why
your are saying this things. If you can give more details, it will be
welcome....

This is actually the point in meditation - to witness that you ARE
something without EGO. The technique of fixing the eyes on the dot on
the wall often helps to go beyond visual reflexes and helps to start to
concentrate on self-perception.

tell it Mahatmas and they will agree with that with a laughter !!!!
Only other thing to say, ALL People who do not PRACTICE YOGA, they
practice - ANTI-YOGA - a continuous engrossment into the body
mentally and spiritually and for then the NEED for EGO is the same as
for a politician to make a war.
You are on a very dangerous grounds Puma, be humble like a mosquito
