Ego and Understanding

| Greetings and Namaste
All roads of Love lead to God. All roads of fear lead away.
People out of ignorance view the Divines actions as Judge mental instead of
discerning as to what needs to be done for instruction, lesson learning,
awakening... (Soul Evolution / Growth) All religions teach in varying
degrees devotion, discipline, discernment, and servitude. They are facets of
love therefore facets of God therefore facets of heaven.
What ever you believe by incorporating devotion to love and its many facets,
discernment to understanding the facets better, invoking more discipline in
life for spiritual practices of application which will bring about even more
understanding, and servitude in aiding others, (growth) occurs.
The ego is the false or synthetic self that springs forth from our desires.
We are its tools until True awakening occurs. Then it becomes merged or
destroyed. Only a sliver is needed to keep a body here on this plain of
existence most beings here walk around with much more than is necessary.
Anything more than a sliver keeps you bound in cycles of fear and its many
facets. The ego more than a sliver is an energy veil that keeps one from
knowing whom and what we truly are. People can say with their mental bodies
whatever they want from whatever book they have read. But until they are
themselves liberated much of what is taught in the scriptures of the world
is misunderstood.
Does the farm change with the seasons? Does the farmer who knows better
rotate the crops? As the soil change does the farmer adjust? Do you believe
and think the same as when you where a physical child?
What I teach can be worded many ways, for all names belong to the DIVINE.
Application brings understanding.
Love, Jnanda
Forever in service,

| Come on Man:
Don`t be so funny!!!
This place is not for you,as we are not only dealing with love! We are
dealing also with all
manifested. You have to learn these first then try to be a funny GURU!
Try to learn simple facts first and then you shall understand what an
EGO is really!
with compassion,

Welcome to alt.yoga :-)
I invite you to come spend some time and get to know Puma, JD, Stu,
Hari, Seeking, Frank, HB, Wade, NBennett, The Elf and all the other
unique and colorful denizens of this newsgroup. .
If you felt slighted by Puma, please don't take it personally. Imagine
this.
You walk into a bar that you have never been in. There is a group of
people you have never met, inside talking with each other. Unannounced,
you step into the middle of their conversation and start telling them
stuff they didn't ask to hear.
The nice guy might say (Eddie Murphy style), "you're so funny, get
outta here!" Others might just stonily ignore you. Some not so
civilized guy might dog cuss you or punch you in the nose and send you
out the door.
God expresses himself in myriad forms and fashion and you'll find
that expression here, but common (n)etiquette still applies.;-)

i doubt this journey wll ever end. in indian tradition they have touted
end of reincarnation, parinirvana etc. i think that is just a pie in the
sky, rooted in indian thought's rejection of life.

| thanks jared. i really didn't feel like i was a part of this newsgroup till
i read that, being a bit of a lightweight when it comes to the discipline
and spiritual side of yoga. then again, you've always welcomed me and my
comments, even when we disagree. thanks. my yoga community is pretty small
in my offline life. this helps.

p.s. - my wonderful teacher has moved to montreal and after trying out
classes taught by 5 other teachers, i've found one who suits me well, pushes
me in different ways, teaches me new things. as luck would have it, the
studio is located within walking distance to my home so i can add a nice
walk to my routine. and in case i'm in need of a fix, my old teacher is
returning for single classes in july and october, so i'm set. i continue my
daily 20 minute home practice.

Trust me, we are all lightweights. That's why we have to study/practice
yoga!

Youčre welcome. I have to admit that my encouragement is a bit
self-serving, as I do enjoy your posts. You bring an energy that is
somewhat rare around here. Reminds me a bit of Hari Har ;-)

Mine consists of just one (myself) for about 15 years now. Seems to
work for me except sometimes I long for the fellowship of others. My
path has been mostly spiritual, mental and emotional with some
occasional hatha thrown in to help keep me alive. I connect with others
from time to time. But I remind myself that I am never separate from
anyone or any thing. So my longing is in fact a denial of the truth (bad
habit I'm working on) that the Universal Principle is present everywhere
and that there is nothing to search or long for.

This is great to hear! I was concerned when it appeared you were having
trouble finding someone and I thought you might not continue :-(
> as luck would have it,
So you still think there is such a thing as luck? Chance? Coincidence?
Ummm.
We'll have to work on that :-)
What is it they say? "When the student is ready the teacher will
appear". I like the one that says, "God doesn't close any door that he
doesn't open up another; better one." It's just those long hallways
that are the problem!

Walking is great, I'm really starting to enjoy it myself.

| Hi there Isreom,
What I have written was not an instruction nor a lesson! It was just to
see if you have any EGO or not!!!! As you must be a good GURU regarding
EGO biz.
Understand no one is able to get rid of his/her ego!! That is we all
need it,SELF can only be known by EGO`s actions. Otherwise there would
be an emtiness...An absolute one, which we call it open- space....
With compassion,
Puma

| Hi Narayana,
I hope you do not regret having it, I mean your EGO. Dissolving
it,means being death... So it is only possible under the soil or after
the cremation. To me all the living creatures have it even trees have
it every tree has its own unique shape...
We all need this EGO as we all live in different parts on this earth,so
different shapes our characters coming up...EGO is allright unless we
use it for only our benefits ...
So your old GURU is absolutely right....
With compassion,
Puma

| Thanks Puma!
The problem with the Ego is that it is not real.
The sense of the Ego is a result of the (automatic) Reflexive fixation
of inner God-like Identity into the body-awareness. You right saying
- we all have it, and as long as we aware of its nature (practice) we
may be safe.
To be born as a human means - to be separated out of spiritual
existence into conditional living limitations including self-awareness
as a body.
By practicing the separation from the body-awareness by any practice,
the awareness of the spiritual Identity will be uncovered or
recollected also automatically as a result of the reverse process.
This also will result in neutralisation of the Ego, which is not
necessary when the real spiritual Identity will revealed itself (in
bliss and ecstasy... bla bla bla)
With respect,
Narayana

| ISreom,
YOu are dealing with money, putting PO.box and online credit card
number online.LOL. That is soooo relaxing.

|
| My dear Narayana,
When you have stated that EGO isnot real....It took me to think what is
real about us!!!,we have nothing real actually, our self at five is on
the pictures now...Our houses that we have lived for a long time, may
not belong us anymore...We do not go school anymore...All these to me
indicate that nothing real really...
EGO is a sort of LENS shaped according to our ecology, our beliefs, our
morality, our ideas, some of them we accept as good, some of them are
bad...
These are the difracted rays of actuality out side on to our
minds...Our minds are not real neither,as it is changing
continuously...
So my dear frind tell me what is real,so real that we allways have it
and others have it too...
With compassion,
Puma

My Dear Friend, Puma...
You are always right! It is a condition of Existence - TO CHANGE, but
never to change back! (smile)
You are asking that is REAL. And the answer is the same - CHANGE !
But it is up to everyone which direction they will go. For me
personally, the Change is Death - it is destroying memory of who you
are at present moment and takes LOVE out from the heart. The CHANGE
itself is a dancing Kali in distraction of Shiva!
For a very long time I was trying to find how to preserve my sense of
Self, how to collect it and to expand. Basically, HOW TO MAKE THE
CHANGE a POSITIVE FORCE. And I did, indeed, have found the perfect
solution. I have made the REALITY of change - as Blissful as it may
be... in an Automated Practice of Dereflexation (automatic practice of
Bhagavan Kriya - Reverse Breathing.)
Now the change is POSITIVE - it sustains my sense of pure cosmic
Self, neutralizing the Ego of any conditional transference I may have.
And I am truly in the ecstasy of Eternal Presence in everyone... It is
phenomenal!
Yours, with deep respect,
Narayana

| My dear Narayana:
What a nice person you are to indicate that I am always right! This
expression of yours clearly shows your kindness. Now I would like go a
bit further with your permission in order to understand your view ;TO
PRESERVE MY SENSE OF SELF-how to collect it and to expand- Would you
kindly open these statements of yours so that I might be out of my
ignorance...
Secondly how often one should carry out DEREFLEXATION to reach the
ecstasy of ETERNAL PRESENCE in everyone...And how possible is it?
thanking you beforehand for your kind and open explanation on the above
mentioned matters.
With compassion,
Puma
