Actually he approved payoffs to the families of children abused to keep them
from going public then he reassigned the priest to parish assignments
without informing the parish members so they trusted these men with their
children. Some priests were sent to other diocese without informing the
bishops why they were being reassigned. He broke the trust of those he was
supposed to care for.
