Preachers of Hate in the USA

| An honest look at present/recent US history shows that in the last
several years, there has been an unprecidented rise to power of some
very influential American neo-conservative preachers of hate, white
supremacy, who advocate nationalistic, racial, religious separatism.
I think that they were prophesied in the bible - as the ones who would
"fool even the elect".
These creatures have national radio programs and cult followings. Ann
Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, & Michael Savage.
On TV - there's Bill O'Reilly with Fox News, and the nationally
syndicated Pat Robertson -the wacked out self proclaimed "Christian"
televangelist who recently broke international law by calling for the
assasination of the democratically elected president of Venezuela -- on
the air. In legal terms, that is an act of terrorism. US officials
did nothing in response except to shelter this pathetic advocator of
terrorism, and blatent enemy of democracy.
The list wouldn't be complete without the "They hate us because we're
free" agents of mass deception and genocidal maniacs, the world famous
billionaire's butt kissers: G.W. Bush, Dick Cheney, & Donald
Rumsfeld.
I pity those who have fallen under the dark spell of these horrible
people. The USA is stuck in some filthy, bloody mud surrounded with
deception.
With the slaughter (and maiming) of tens of thousands of innocent
children & women in Iraq, and thousands of American boys - too young
and ignorant to know better, thousands of barrels of blood have been
spilled - all so that the insanely greedy billionaires in charge of the
top politicians could amass more money and power.
It's time to end the insanity. It's time to encourage people everywhere
to pull their heads out of the sand and to take whatever action they
can that will help steer us to a better tomorrow.
Hari Aum!

P.S. . Looks like one of the things that the extremists hated the most
about Bill Clinton, was that he was NOT a racist. The USA's ship is
sinking fast.

| With the possible exception of the "Hari Aum" at the end, I'd say your
post was off topic for alt.yoga :-)
Oh and BTW there is no hate; there is only God...

Aw c'mon, Jared. I hate it when you get all starry-eyed.
If you are going to say that there is no hate, then by the same logic you
will have to say that there is no love. Get your feet on the ground, man.

reading my response from alt.yoga so you might not know the "where's

| This reminds me a lot of "the two minutes of hate" from 1984 (the
book)... I supose there have always been those two poles in humanity
(positive / negative).
It seems that the negative side is winning but I believe there is
always a constant balance due to a pendular effect.

| I think that your definition of yoga is lacking. Keep your head in the
sand and you'll only see one side of the coin. In my view, yoga calls
for balance - to see both sides of the coin and to take some
responsibility for the way things are - to have compassion for our
fellow human beings. You can live in a cave if you want, but you'd be
much more useful if/when you get off your dead XXX and join the fight
for justice and peace. You can't really have one, without the other,
unless you live in a dreamy new agey world (where there is no hate) and
much self-centered, selfish, contemplation of one's navel. In such
cases the reality is unreal - 100% astral - like a dream.
If you were a peasant in Iraq who lost some dear sweet little cousins,
nieces, and/or nephews in Iraq to the invasion there, if your attempts
to do yoga were often disrupted by the sounds and shakes of bombs and
bullets and the wails of defenseless people screaming in pain, or if
you were a black born into poverty in the southern USA - perhaps you'd
have a radically different view. Denial is for girly men and immature
juveniles. Facing and dealing with the truth is for adults.
The time for war has past. It is time for diplomacy and honest
politicians who see it as their role to serve the greater good.
Nothing less will work. The new agey yoga folks who contemplate their
navels while their tax dollars pay for the bombs and bullets that kill
and maim women and children - are NOT a part of the solution, they are
irresponsible components of the problem.
Cheers
Max
If you want some light to be shed on the plight of the people in Iraq,
I suggest that you
open your mind to the thoughts of a girl blogger in Iraq - that is - if
she's still alive.
