B-12 can be manufactured within the digestive system if a sufficient
quantity of bacteria are present which manufacture it. However, since most
people are accustomed to drink chlorinated water (I do not) the chances are
slim. Anyway, it can take up to 30 years to deplete one's stores of B-12.
