Does anyone long to express God's Love?

Is there anyone in this group practicing Yoga?
Babaji, where there XXXX are you? Yoganandaji, Gandhi, Jesus, Mohamed,
Buddha, John Wayne; where are you?
God where the XXXX are you?
Is there any thing, anyone here values more then life? Are we all
sniveling cowards? Are we all content with our pissy little machts
nichts (nod to hariharji :-) exchanges over meaningless bullshit ?
Is there anyone else in this group that feels profound existential
despair? Am I the only one who curses, screams and prays at God to
speak up; to release me from this bull shit; from all the lies?

In the end it is all meaningless bullshit, everything. even being
annoyed at the meaningless bullshit is itself just meaningless
bullshit in a new package.
Some are just having fun in the exchanges.
Hector the Humourous seems to be enjoying himself.

the only lies are the ones we tell ourselves.

Yes, I guess you could say that. I had just finished watching the
Magdalene Sisters w/documentary and a few days before that, The City of
God, w/documentary. Too large a dose of the appearance of evil. I should
be more moderate in my indulgence of maya (and beer). Self-pity doesn't
help either. Makes for a real potent mix.

Thanks for your kindness! I am ever amazed at just how profoundly
comforting a hug can be. Even a virtual, existential one...

True, true.

I guess play is good. I've just never been very good at it. Unless one
considered ultra-seriousness a form of play. Which I suppose for me it
is. After all-in a way-it is fun and I'm really good at it.

Ah but a little, sometimes? Why/How did you give it up, pre-tell?

I know the essential truth of what you say. I don't think I have the
choice yet. I am busy making other choices. Perhaps it is as they say,
"bliss (freedom, sobriety, happiness, etc.) is not for those who need it
but for those who want it".

Jared,
You don't sound too well bro As a Sufferer from chronic
depression, I definately feel the way you do at various times, but I
really try not to let it suck me down. I scream & cuss....XXXX the
bullshit! Yes XXXX it! I think it is good to do when your feeling
down and out...to let your emotions flow instead of being
apathetic(which makes things worse).
Personally, I don't pray that much. If there is a prayer to pray Id
say "So BE it, Your will not mine" otherwise I pray too much and that
frustrates and confuses me.
Anyhow, I hope you feel better soon.
Godbless and Goodnite,
Aaron

Thanks Aaron,
I've read some of your posts on other groups. I believe and respect what
you say when you are talking about yourself. Clearly you're capable of
being quite open.
Thanks again.

Hey JD,
like yours are only good for the day,
mine are only good for the intended receiver.

Jd, if I knew what you were ranting on about I would respond,
generally I approach your posts as one would a Rorschach

well it's good at least u realize that.
now that samskara is pretty potent isn't it :-)
but it responds eventually via practice of right action or something
like that. :-)
studying my yoga terms lately.
it's so amazing to me how the 12-steps i do supports the yoga.
another word i understand better is brahmacarya which is one of the
yamas. Now i had thought of it previously as celibacy but now I
understand it as abstinence as it pertains to my food addiction so it
can be seen as abstaining from that which is addictive when that is
necessary and that is extremely hard to do without use of a beneficial
higher power.. so i don't want to be slaved to my habitual because I
come to feel that duhkha. That's a good thing to feel that if it leads
me to right action (step 1 of 12 steps) cause i do believe the
universe can support us.
I certainly have received a lot of beautiful support in the last 3 or
so years. It's been pretty amazing.
so be patient with urself
but remember all we have is today.
tomorrow never comes.

Hey Omjaram,
'bout all I did was rephrase some stuff that you have already posted
elsewhere.

'vanity of vanity, all is vanity, and a chasing after the wind.'
one of the psalms goes something like that.

yes, any kind of play is good, even a board game, (as long as it is
not some meaningless bullshit like trivial pursiut!!! :-).
A practice of being in the moment, being in the game,

We all have the choice. little by little, take the steps towards the
goal.
As often as I find myself thinking otherwise, I remind myself that
everything is an emanation of that one Divinity, of That which is
Sat-Cit-Ananda.
the one who gives is Brahma
the one who recieves is Brahma
that which is given is Brahma
the act of giving is Brahma
the act of receiving is Brahma
etc.....
it's all part of the play,
I can tie myself up into knots about it, about how I think it is
supposed to be, about how I think I am supposed to be,
or I can relax and enjoy the show.

years of at least twice daily: meditation, asanas, pranayam etc
probably helped as well.
