Greetings Yoga world,

I want to tell everyone about a remarkable film that I saw this month
- "Yoga Unveiled". This is a new documentary by director Gita Desai,
just released on DVD October 2004.

To my knowledge this is the most comprehensive study on film of the
history of Yoga and its impact on modern society. At over three hours
in length, Ms. Desai creates a stunning portrait of Yoga's ancient
roots interwoven with interviews by prominent yoga practitioners and
scholars. These interviews alone are well worth the price of the DVD
set - which I initially though was high at $36.99 + shipping. Georg
Feurestein's incites - eloquent and full of wit - are priceless.

This is the "why" of Yoga as opposed to the ubiquitous "how".

The film web site - http://www.yogaunveiled.com/ - has a fair amount
of background about the movie and has a 3 minute trailer. So for those
who want to learn more about the film, I highly suggest visiting the
website.

I'd be interested in hearing other opinions about the movie from
others who have seen it.
