I have a temporary low vison problem (20/70 corrected). I will like to
share two aids that I found very useful in addition to the standard
magnifying glasses.

The Madnifocus is a light weight magnifying glass in a head band that
gives you magnification for close reading.distances. I find it much
easier to sue than magnifying glasses. It costs about $32 Can from Lee
Valley.
You can see it at
http://www.delasco.com/pcat/3/Self-...ts/102LP/102LP/
but a Google search will bring many results.

For long distance I have found the "Matt 2.8x spectacle binocular".
With these I can watch television with fairly good clarity from a
distance of about 8 feet. I also use them at the theatre.
You can see then at
http://www.cnib.ca/tech_aids/assist.../magnifiers.htm
It paid $130 Can at a store.
