I've be diagnosed with a Varicocele on both sides, and a cyst on the
right upper epipdidymus. I've been living with pretty much a difficult
pain since December 2005, but it started in July 2005. Antibotics
helped in July 2005, but now don't. AntiInflamitory don't help. Tylenol
and Advil as now becoming ineffective. I have an appointment with my
Doctor/Urol. on April 26, to discuss my options.

Does anyone have thoughts between the Surgery and the Embolization? I
don't think I'm one that would do well in a situation where I'm not
completely knocked out, meaning I don't think Twilight Sedative would
help me. I had a minor surgery on my hand as a kid with no pain killer
/ anaesthics (sp).

My Insurance carrier (Aetna) shows they cover the Embolization, but in
reading I'm not convinced yet on it. Aetna said to have my doctor
complete a pre-action form about the surgery to see if would be covered
or partially covered.

I don't want to just decide on Embolization because its "covered", if
the Micro-Surgery might be the better way to go. PS: This is not for
fertility consideration, only to get rid of the pain. I don't want any
more kids

Thanks for your input.....
