I am looking for dental/medical practitioners, who have purchased the
KODAK 8000 digital OPG.
Every image shows the "head fixation" and the chin is never entirely on
the film! I have contacted the company in France, but they say it is
'normal'. I do not agree!!
According to what I know about quality assurance in radiology, the
image of an OPG, should show an image of the entire mandible, if not,
the image lacks in quality. Besides this anatomically important
feature, I wish to see on every film, I also do not like that
radiopaque lines mask the image! This is the case with the head
fixation of the machine.
I hope, that there is anyone out there, who can tell me they have the
same problem, so we can pursuade the KODAK company to adjust their
equipment.

If not I hope that someone from another company reads this message and
contacts me, so I can show the significant difference in image quality
between both machines!

Looking forward to your comments,
