Today some Hospitals around the world have many manual processes in
theirs radiology services workflow, and some bad practices allows to
generate annoyances in the patient, retardation in the accomplishment
of studies, lost of money in unnecessary processes, duplications of
efforts and lost essencial information.

A RIS (Radiology Information System) allows to control and to
standardize the workflow in a radiology service, integration with
another systems (HIS, Modalities, PACS) using HL7
(ADT,DFT,ORU,ORM,DMWL,SIU) protocol.

Some RIS funcionalities are:

Scheduling
Patient Arrived
Technician Worklist
Transfer Modality Worklist
Doctor Worklist
interchange of data with Interfaces (billing, Medical Reports, etc )
Voice Recognition
Reporting
Static / Graphs
Usability and Easy to use
Integration with PACS

I have experience with GE RIS , Agfa RIS, like a RIS Engineer. I'd
like interchange experiences with this group.

Computer Engineer, Oracle Specialist and Software Developer, Project
