Brain CT result question

| 56 year old male, HBP well under control with medication, otherwise
healthy, fit and physically active, non smoking pt, had sudden onset
and progressively worsening episode of nausea, vertigo and nystagmus
lasting 3 days. Primary care physician called for non emergency
transport to ER.
Treatment consisted of IV, IV Valium, Brain CT, followed by release
from ER with Rx for 10 mg valium qid. Symptoms resolved.
Brain CT w/o contrast performed. Prelim reading was:
"Reduced parenchymal volume, otherwise normal".
Any comments on the reading ??? TIA

| It is not very specific.It happens that,with age,our brain parenchymal
volume slightly reduces.What is most important-no pathological
masses,ie tumours.If you feel unease with this,you can have endocranial
MRI with gadolinium.
