We are looking for the cost of having Dual Energy option when
purchasing GE Revolution XQ/i as compared to a system without that
option. Could any one, who have purchased this system, please advice me
on this issue? Thank you.

Thank you

Not sure I appreciate the use of the Dual Energy for everyday imaging - it
seems like extra exposure for not a lot of gain...

Only GE is providing this option in digital.
It is really useful for chest radiographs as occlusion by bones are
removed from lungs.
Your concern about an additional exposure is a valid concern, but there
are film-based systems with single exposure and dual energy
subtraction. Thanks
