| What are the risks of X-Ray's during pregnancy. Could a simple dental exam
be harmful to a baby?

I am by no means an expert on this subject. Nevertheless, it strikes me that
the use of suitable collimators to direct the radiation and the lead vest to
block scattered radiation, as is done in California, should prevent harm to
a fetus. Of course, it is possible for someone taking the x-rays to screw up
badly. I do not know how you can protect against incompetence.
