I wanted to share my experience with this supplement.
Any saw plametto taken should be 160mg twice a day. It should have
85-95% fatty acids. The reason is that this formula was demonstrated
to be effective. Other formulas may be effective, but this is what was
used in studies. There's lots of saw palmetto out there, in varying
strengths and composition.

That being said, for me, saw palmetto alone has not been that
effective. What has worked is saw plametto in combination with other
ingredients. I take a product called "Prosta Metto". It is sold my
"The Vitamin Shoppe". In addition to saw palmetto, it contains,
pygeum, pumpkin seed oil, B-6, and uva ursi. They also make a similar
product with lycopene. I notice a better flow when I take the Prosta
Metto rather than just saw palmetto.

I'm also on Avodart, so I take both products. It seems to be working
for me.

Before taking any supplement, please be sure to check with your doctor.

Gotta say that a massive dose of SP daily does the trick for me. Your dose
you mentioned was nowhere near enough so far as I am concerned - which isn't
a medical opinion, just what I do.

Yikes!? Interesting.

I'm just curious...did your blood work show that your DHT was in the 3000
range for you to be taking such large amounts of DHT inhibitors? [I'm just
guessing that you already know that Saw Palmetto, Pygeum, the sterols in
pumpkin seeds, and Avodart are DHT inhibitors.]

Regardless, only best wishes to you. Here's wishing you the very best on
your personal regimen.
