Had PVC in Aug,2005 still have 3 night calls compounded by insomnia.
Have any of you had insomnia - what helps and can it ever be cured?
Thank you for any help.

John, I also had PVP and still get up 4 to 5 times a night to pee which
causes me to loose alot of sleep, don't know how you go about curing the
problem but like you I sure would like to know.
I don't remember you relating your PVP experience to this group maybe
you did but I don't remember it. If you can, will you relate your PVP
experience with this group as to what was the out come, if you are happy
with the results also where was it done and any other information about it
that you care to give. This will be real helpful to the group. Dean,

there is a homeopathic coffee curda...
they sell it at whole foods---
try this--works for my daughter
Michael
Coffea cruda: Mental excitement and nervous stimulation that keep a person
from sleeping suggest a need for remedy. Thoughts preventing sleep can be
happy or distressing. The person may be looking forward to something that
will happen in the morning, but feels stressed and exhausted as the night
wears on. If the person falls asleep, it is usually very light with vivid
dreams, and disturbed by any little noise or motion. (This remedy can also
help if overuse of caffeine is the cause of sleeplessness.)

Hi John,

I remember that you had a PVP procedure in the fall of 2003. Did you
have another PVP? And if so, would you share with the group the reasons
that you needed another PVP?

Thanks,
Don

John
I don't if you have heard of Melatonin but it has cut my night calls
from 5 to 1 sometimes none and allows you to sleep like a log. I use 2 mg's
a night. this is a natural hormone that controls circadian ryhthm, most
older people loose this hormone as they age. Can be bought over the counter
any where and is cheap. DP

John: don't know if my case is typical...I had PVP about 1 yr ago. Now, I
get up at the very most, 2x per night.
As for insomnia, there is nothing about PVP that would cause that... But if
you are taking meds, check the possible side effects. Maybe your doctor can
offer an alternative without prescribing sleeping pills. Best of luck to
you.
