Author Followup PVP in NJ

Today I had my 1st follow-up visit with Dr. Sinha of Edison, NJ. After
discussing what my status has been for the last few days, he examined me by
poking around. It seemed that he may have been checking for swelling or
pain. Whatever it was, I passed. He explained that bleeding may continue for
a month and that passing clumps, with intermittent flow restriction, could
continue for 2 months. He told me to keep drinking, (water that is...) but
not to hold off on voiding. By doing this my bladder could regain some of
its strength. I have noticed that since the procedure I can void more
completely and that after the initial stream stops I can squeeze out about
2-3 oz's more. This is way better than before the PVP. Prior to the PVP
squeezing did nothing, and rarely did I void to the point of feeling empty.

Yesterday around noon I had the experience of starting to void with a full
stream and midway through, it shutdown to a trickle. I had reduced flow
until about 3:00pm today when a large clump passed and the strong flow
returned. This kind of spooked me. I had visions of my uro yanking out the
Cysto for a look-see. But he explained that this should be expected.

Day 5 status:
- Some blood and sting at start of stream.
- Passing clumps (usually small clots) at just about every voiding.
- Bleeding. ( wearing old shorts and changing often)
- Tender, but not painful, in groin area. (Found this out when I plopped
into a chair.)
- Drinking about a gallon of water a day.
- Voiding at least 10 times a day and once at night.
- Urgency is reducing.
- So far, still happy with the results.
