Hard to say. Might be for some, others no. I had one in 98 and everything
is still A-OK.

It must be a record, congratulations:-) Several people have already had two
PVP's and that has not been in existence for ten years yet. Perhaps some
will yet match you there.

You are lucky that you are able to withstand and undergo 3 TURPs. You must
have very careful and wonderful doctors!! BUT...Why aren't your doctors
addressing the causes for continuation of the enlargement of the Prostate?
I'd suggest that your DHT levels are very high. Hence, your prostate will
continue to grow. I'm sure your doctors warned you about that, after your
blood work ups. I've. too, have tried to get to the cause of high DHTs but
have not been able to succeed. Seems the endocrinologists don't have enough
traffic from guys who care enough to find out the causes of DHT. (I was the
ONLY one my Endo has EVER seen!!) Hence, guys like me are branded as
unusually curious!! Endocrinologists and Urologists I've met with have
freely admitted that they have not been pushed into seeking those answers,
so, are not aware of anyone making the effort. It's strange to them that I
even dared to ask!! Likely you had the same reaction? Consequently,
urologists are content to prescribe DHT inhibitors--do-it-yourselfers using
Saw Palmetto and Pygeum, (DHT inhibitors), are in that class, too. Likely
your doctor prescribed Proscar or Avodart as a result of high DHTs.

In conclusion, yes, it is logical that prostates will keep on growing if DHT
levels are above maximum.
