Got a query. I've been having a lot of back problems. In the past, I know
flexeril, the muscle relaxer, has worked well.

However, I see on the patient sheet, it mentions the usual proviso about
prostate problems ("if you have difficulty urinating due to enlarged
prostate...").

I know for me antihistamines is a no-no.

Does this mean flexeril is also a no-no???

If you don't notice any effect, I wouldn't worry about it. However, you might
ask your doctor.

I haven't used it in a LONG time, so I am afraid to try it.

It's going to be a matter of trial and error. Some things effect my
bph and some don't. Problematic are beer, chinese food (probably the
high salt content) red wine, but not white, and spaghetti sauce.
Antihistamines aren't really a problem, but I tend not to take too
high a dose. I guess you won't know until you experiment. Advil seems
to help me get up less at night.

To Barry: possibly MSG in Chinese food is an irritant?

P.S.: thanks for the comment on Spaghetti Sauce. I ate some yesterday, and
today I had a bad day. I'll keep an eye on that stuff, too.
