| Hello,
Can you tell me the followings:-
1.Whether Lactic Acidosis is a cause of getting chest/anginal pain &
fatigue? Is it the only cause?
2. Whether CV problems related to exertions/stresses, are due to lactic
acidosis?
3. What are the differenciating effects of physical, mental & disease
related stresses on lactic acid levels? Does mental stress also effect
lactic acid levels?
4. Are we getting more lactic acid production & accumulations due to
living in big crowded & polluted cities and by diverting toward more
modern lifestyle?
Pls contribute.
Best wishes.

| Alanine is the only amino acid secreted by fasting cardiac muscle. Alanine
transaminase converts alanine to pyruvate in a reversible reaction which
when hydrogenated becomes lactic acid.
Thus, there is the hypothesis that those people experiencing a myocardial
infarction and/or angina should receive alanine po or IV such as to restore
damaged cardiac muscle to it's metabolic norm to minimize the s/s of the
same and to, at least partially, mitigate the causes of the same.
I am a male RN and have a BS in Biochemistry.
My real name is not Marcus Aurelius

| Thanks. But LDH also help in interconversion of pyruvate & lactate.
One more question:-
Do we feel more tires/lazy or inactiveness when lacitic acid levels are
higher? Whether our heart rate & BP increases due to higher lactic acid?
