| Hi all -
I've hesitated to post my question before, because I've been trying to
find a similar disease on the net like I have, but have not been able
to.
At 38, I was diagnosed with colon cancer and had my colon and rectum
removed. I'm now 40. (male)
For 1 1/2 yrs following the surgery, I was on massive narcotics for
pain. Eventually, we found it was scar tissue, and a few visits to a
physical therapist solved the issue. Thank God! I went off the
narcotics and have not been on them for apporx 6 months.
Immediately following cessation of narcotics, I developed a severely
itchy rash on my neck, shoulders, face and scalp. Also began to cough,
all the time.
Over the past 6 months, my rash has decreased visibly, but the itch
never stops. The cough never stops.
The only thing that squelches the itch for awhile is very hot showers.
I know you're not supposed to do that for a rash, but I've tried cold,
or lukewarm. The only thing that keeps my sanity is 4 - 5 very hot
showers a day.
I had a stool test taken for candida, but it was negative. However, I
frequently wake up with a white tounge and am very sensitive to cheese
or mushrooms. Seems suspicious to me. Could I have the Candida in my
blood but not in my digestive system? (I don't have a colon)
I have been on the candida diet for a long time, as well as diflucan
and all the other medical and herbal candida fixes.
I hope someone can help.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!
David
